Sewing School provides each participant with a beginner sewing kit\, notions\, materials\, books\, and an online learning curriculum. You’ll learn how to mend and repair clothing\, sew on a button\, and create new items from simple patterns — all from home\, at your own pace. \nThis is a free program. There is no cost to apply or participate. \nWho Can ApplySewing School is open to Michigan youth ages 6 to 14 who are interested in learning basic sewing skills. There are no demographic requirements — youth from rural\, urban\, and suburban areas are all welcome to apply. Preference is given to participants with modest annual family income.
